Art Rangers Acrylics: Tubes, Pastels, Neons and Sets

Art Rangers acrylic paints are a favourite with students, schools and hobby painters. They are water-based, easy to blend and dry to a water-resistant, flexible satin finish. This Haanz Art Guide explains the single 75ml tubes, the ready-mixed pastel and neon colours, and the sets we stock, so you can choose the right mix for your work.
Single 75ml tubes
A 75ml tube is a generous size for colours you use a lot, such as greens for landscapes or a background colour. We stock these single Art Ranger 75ml colours:
- Green Mid: a balanced mid green for grass and foliage.
- Orange and Pink: bright, ready-to-use colours.
- Neon Orange: a vivid, glowing orange.
You can see every Art Ranger tube in Art Rangers 75ml Tubes.
Ready-mixed pastel colours
Pastels are soft, light colours. You can mix them yourself with white, but ready-mixed pastels save time and give the same shade every time. We stock:
- Pastel Blue: a soft, airy blue.
- Pastel Purple
- Pastel Red
- Pastel Grey
Pastels are popular for nursery murals, cute illustrations, cards and soft backgrounds.

Working with neons and pastels
- Neons look brightest over white. Paint a white base layer first, let it dry, then add the neon on top.
- Mixing neons with other colours dulls them. Use them pure for maximum glow.
- Pastels can look chalky if overmixed. Blend gently, and wipe your brush between colours to keep them clean.
- Pastel Grey is very useful for soft shadows on pastel paintings, because black would be too harsh.
Project ideas
- A pastel sky with Pastel Blue, Pastel Purple and Pink, blended while wet.
- A neon poster for a school event, with neon letters over a white base.
- Painted plant pots or wooden boxes using the large 75ml tubes, finished with varnish.
- A soft nursery mural with pastel animals and Pastel Grey shadows.
Everyday tips
- Squeeze out only what you need. Acrylic dries quickly on the palette.
- Add a little water for thinner layers, but too much water weakens the paint film.
- Wash brushes straight after painting.
- Close caps tightly and store tubes away from heat.

Frequently asked questions
Are Art Rangers acrylics waterproof when dry?
They dry to a water-resistant, flexible finish. For items that will be handled a lot, add a coat of acrylic varnish.
Can I mix Art Rangers with other acrylic brands?
Yes, acrylics usually mix well across brands. Test a small amount first.
Do neon colours glow in the dark?
No. Neon (fluorescent-style) colours look very bright in daylight but don’t glow in the dark.
Do you deliver islandwide?
Yes. We deliver across Sri Lanka in 2–5 working days, with cash on delivery, card or bank transfer. You can also visit our shops in Boralesgamuwa and Horana, open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
