Name, Message and Heart Moulds for Resin Gifts

Personalised gifts are what people treasure. With an alphabet letter mould, a few message moulds and some heart silicone moulds, you can make name keychains, Mother’s Day keepsakes, wedding table decorations and house signs. This Haanz Art Guide covers the message and heart moulds we stock and gift ideas for each occasion.

Tips for crisp letters and words
- Fill carefully. Letters have thin parts that trap bubbles. Use a pipette or toothpick to push resin into corners.
- Overfill slightly and let the resin settle level, or scrape off the excess with a flat stick for a flat back.
- Pop bubbles with a toothpick, paying attention to letter corners.
- Cure fully before demoulding. Thin letters can bend if removed too early.
- Demould slowly, peeling the silicone back rather than pushing pieces out.
Adding colour and sparkle
- Pour a thin layer of glitter resin first so the sparkle sits at the front.
- Use mica powder for pearly shades, or alcohol ink for see-through colour. See How to Colour Resin.
- Paint the raised letters on a cured plaque with gold paint for contrast.
Turning pieces into keychains
Drill a small hole near the top once cured and add a jump ring and keychain. See Resin Bookmarks and Keychains and Drilling, Sanding and Polishing Resin.
Caring for silicone moulds
Silicone moulds last a long time if you look after them:
- Demould gently by flexing the silicone. Don’t pull pieces out with tools.
- Wipe moulds clean with a soft cloth or tape to lift dust. Don’t scrub with anything rough, or the shiny finish of future pieces will suffer.
- Store moulds flat, out of sunlight, and don’t stack heavy things on top, so they keep their shape.
- Keep a separate set of moulds for resin only. Food and resin should never share moulds.
Frequently asked questions
My letters came out with holes. Why?
Air was trapped in the narrow parts of the mould. Fill slowly, poke into corners and tap the mould gently.
Can I use UV resin in letter moulds?
Yes, letter moulds are shallow, so UV resin cures well in them.
Do you deliver islandwide?
Yes. We deliver across Sri Lanka in 2–5 working days, with cash on delivery, card or bank transfer. You can also visit our shops in Boralesgamuwa and Horana, open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
